Our Trailer Cuff stainless steel padlocks are based on the design of high quality padlocks such as as Abloy using even better quality materials (stainless steel) and patented design technology.

We started testing by shackling them to a piece of chain of the Sea Point promenade in the inter tidal zone so that they were submerged at high tide, exposed at low tide and mercilessly pounded by the breaking waves for a couple of weeks. Then we asked some guys in the locksmith business to have a go at them with all of their specialised lock picking & lock bashing equipment and then we asked some people in the padlock business to cut one open and tell us what they thought of it. The padlocks came out with flying colours on all accounts.

Application:

The 50 mm padlock will deter heavyweight criminals with serious equipment and will withstand almost any attack. They can try to pick it, pry it, cut it or bash it with little chance of succeeding. Even if they come with an angle grinder they will find it easier to cut through other parts of the unit such as the chain or the TC Link.

If you don't want your trailer stolen this is the lock for you.It will safeguard your trailer against opportunistic and determined threats of theft. It fits perfectly with all Open Handle trailer couplers.

Disadvantage:

For use on a Closed Loop trailer coupler you will need to shorten the chain with an angle grinder to get a perfect fit.
